What can you do with a Business with Human Resource Management degree?
This course will prepare you for a variety of HR functions such as recruitment and selection, employee relations or personnel, and training and development. Possible roles include Human Resource Manager, Office Manager, Occupational Psychologist, and Career/Business Adviser. You could choose to work in many other areas, including management and recruitment consultancy, sales, mediation, research, and arbitration.

Our goal is to provide ARU students with the right tools for career planning and successful employment through; an array of career advising services and employability skills programs to support students’ personal and career development to meet employers’ hiring needs. In addition, we build corporate partnerships and liaise with companies to avail experiential and career opportunities and help employers reach and attract the right talent.

Teaching and Modules
Our second-year modules are designed to develop the knowledge you already have, and give you a broad understanding of the key concepts of business and organisational management.
From Year 3, you’ll turn your attention to the knowledge, skills and behaviours required of human resources professionals, and the importance of HR to business success. You’ll also continue to build your wider understanding of business.
You’ll complete your degree with your major project, where you’ll work as part of an interdisciplinary team to address a current, complex business issue.

What happens on a foundation year?
A foundation year prepares you for the rest of your course, and focuses on general skills such as researching and referencing, numeracy and ICT, and communication. We’ll also start to look at some more subject-specific topics.
