What are the entry requirements for postgraduate programmes?
A recognised bachelor’s degree with honours (min. grade of Good), English proficiency (IELTS 6.5), and any programme-specific requirements

How do I apply?

What documents are required after being accepted?
- Official high school transcripts for grades 10,11, and 12
- Proof of 12 years of schooling (applicable for foreign certificates)
- Birth certificate.
- Copy of passport.
- Copy of national ID.
- English proficiency examination results.
- Two passport-size photos.
- Military form (Istimara) 2 and 6 Gond (Egyptian Males Only).

When will ARU Cairo offer a medicine programme?
The Faculty of Medicine is planned to be open in Fall 2028.
Are the programmes identical to those delivered in the UK?
Yes. Programmes are designed, validated, and moderated by ARU UK.
What is the duration of each programme?
Undergraduate programmes: 3–4 years

Are internships or practical training included?

Are exchange programmes available?
Yes. Selected students may participate in study abroad or semester-exchange arrangements with ARU UK.
Is ARU Cairo recognised by the Egyptian Supreme Council of Universities?
Yes. All graduate certificates from ARU Cairo are recognised by the Supreme Council of Universities in Egypt. Equivalence documents will be available upon the graduation of the first cohort.
Are the Bachelor of Engineering programmes (Mechatronics and Robotics Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering) recognised by the Egyptian Engineers Syndicate?
Yes. These programmes are recognised by the Egyptian Engineers Syndicate. Official membership documents will be available after the first cohort graduates.
Do students have to undergo any degree recognition or equivalency process after graduation?
All degrees issued by ARU Cairo are fully recognised by the Egyptian Ministry of Higher Education and officially recognised by all relevant professional syndicates in Egypt. Graduates do not need to complete any equivalency process, as their degrees are already formally approved under the Presidential Decree governing ARU Cairo’s establishment.

What are the tuition fees for each programme?
Tuition fees vary by faculty and student category, which is determined by high school grades:
- Category A: 90% and above
- Category B: 80–89%
- Category C: Below 80%

Is the deposit deducted from the total tuition fees?
Yes. The deposit is part of the total tuition fees, not an additional cost.
Are there additional administrative fees?
Some programmes may include lab, Facilities, or Health Insurance fees, depending on the faculty.
- Students are required to pay application, non-academic, lab & technology, health insurance, facilities insurance, and a deposit. Fees vary by programme and student nationality. The deposit is deducted from tuition fees, and health insurance may be waived if valid coverage is provided.
Does ARU Cairo offer scholarships?
Yes. Merit-based, academic excellence, and early bird scholarships are available.
ARU Cairo also offers several other scholarships:
- President’s Gold Full Scholarship: Full tuition for the top 100 Egyptian students based on high school GPA.
- Gen Z Leaders Scholarship: Up to 15% for creative and innovative students making a positive societal impact.
- Athletic Scholarships: Discounts for Egyptian students excelling in national or international sports competitions.

Are Tuition Fees instalment plans available?
Yes. Flexible instalment plans can be arranged through the finance department.
Tuition fees are paid in two equal instalments: 50% upon receiving the final acceptance letter, and the remaining 50% one month after the semester begins.
Do tuition fees change each year?
Tuition fees at ARU Cairo may increase annually, with a maximum adjustment of 10% to account for market inflation. Any fee changes are announced before the start of the next admissions season.
I am an international student; in what currency should I pay the fees?
International students are required to pay tuition and other fees in GBP (British Pounds). Fees can also be transferred in USD, but you should contact the Finance Department to confirm the exact amount.
What are the housing / Dorms/ accommodation/ fees?
Housing fees depend on room type, facilities, and availability.
What are the bus/transportation fees?
Transportation fees depend on the pick-up location and route.
What is the Early Bird Scholarship?
The Early Bird Scholarship is a special reduction offered to students who complete their admission steps and pay the required fees before the early registration deadline.
In celebration of ARU Cairo’s launch, we are offering a 20% Entry Scholarship for four years to all students joining our inaugural Fall 2026 cohort, supporting and empowering Egypt’s youth as they begin their journey with us.
What is the deposit refund policy?
The deposit is refundable in accordance with the university’s official refund policy and timelines.
Refund eligibility depends on the stage of admission and the deadlines set by ARU Cairo. Students should review the refund policy or contact the Admissions Office for full details.
Do you offer financial aid?
Yes! Current students facing financial hardship, such as the loss of a parent or guardian, can apply for support through the Registrar’s Office and may receive assistance if approved.

ARU Cairo campus offers a wide range of academic and student-life facilities, including interactive classrooms, labs, workshops, computer labs, studios, a library, and academic support offices.
