Accreditation
Our BEng Mechanical Engineering course is accredited by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) on behalf of the Engineering Council for the purposes of fully meeting the academic requirement for registration as an Incorporated Engineer. Students who successfully graduate with this degree may, with the appropriate further learning, meet the academic requirement for registration as a Chartered Engineer.

What can you do with an International Business Management degree?
A degree in an international business can prepare you for a career overseeing a company’s global operations, in which you could be responsible for a company’s global business, international sales, or overseas manufacturing.
Typical roles may include: Export/Import Manager, Global Marketing Manager, International Business Consultant, Cross-Cultural Manager, or International Trade Specialist.

Our goal is to provide ARU students with the right tools for career planning and successful employment through; an array of career advising services and employability skills programs to support students’ personal and career development to meet employers’ hiring needs. In addition, we build corporate partnerships and liaise with companies to avail experiential and career opportunities and help employers reach and attract the right talent.

Teaching and Modules
Our first-year modules are designed to develop the knowledge you already have, and give you a broad understanding of the key concepts of business and organisational management.
We’ll then turn our attention towards the particular knowledge and skills required of international business managers, exploring the complexities of organising teams and business activities across countries, and the intricacies of the EU economy. You’ll also continue to develop your wider business know-how.
You’ll complete your degree with a major project, working in a team to address a current, complex business issue.

What happens on a foundation year?
A foundation year prepares you for the rest of your course, and focuses on general skills such as researching and referencing, numeracy and ICT, and communication. We’ll also start to look at some more subject-specific topics.
What happens on a placement year?
Your placement year is a chance to put everything you’ve learnt in Years 1 and 2 into practice. Spend typically 9-12 months working for an organisation, developing your skills and gaining valuable work experience. Our Placements Team is here to help you secure a placement.
